Tattoo from earlier last year
For Eduardo’s design, we wanted to combine two important drives of nature; the element of water together with the Fibonacci Sequence.
Water can create enormous currents, forceful waves, and destruction, but on the other hand, it’s the most relaxing, tranquil, and cleansing element. Imagine a stream of water flowing down from the mountains. No matter how large the rocks are in its way, it embraces them by flowing around it – adapting to them. No matter how big the “obstacle” seems, which stands in our way physically or metaphorically, we don’t have to push or slam it out of our way. Instead, we can flow around it and adapt to it as well.
To frame the entire design-composition, I’ve used the golden ratio, which is related to the Fibonacci sequence. It is a sequence of numbers that can be found everywhere in nature’s micro or macro scale. For example, the branching of trees, flower seed arrangements, the amounts of plant petals, nautilus shells, cloud formations, human anatomy, and many more. Artists, Sculptors, Architects, Photographers, Filmmakers, and many others have started to use this sequence for their work throughout the centuries. If we look for it, we can see this sequence everywhere; it likes nature’s own code. In this tattoo design, I used this sequence to illustrate the flown and to create the contrast of mathematics, which can be found in all of nature’s (seemingly) chaotic patterns, like in the water splash.

It was such a great experience to this as my first tattoo from @danielmeyertattoo you made the session very enjoyable. This piece turned out great! I hope I can get more art work from you in the future.
